Daughter of Jonathan Irwin and Asenath Logue Irwin. Wife of William Alexander.

Bluffton, Indiana Bluffton Chronicle
Thursday, January 21, 1892 - P8C2

William Alexander's wife died very suddenly last Thursday evening at ten o'clock, after less than one hour's sickness. She had been afflicted for years with heart trouble having quite a number of severe attacks the last of which proved fatal.

Mrs. Alexander was the daughter of Jonathan Irwin, one of our aged and respected townsmen. She was loved and respected by all who had the pleasure of her acquaintance. She leaves to mourn her loss, five sons, one daughter, a husband and a host of admiring friends. She was one of the leading spirits of the Women's Relief Corps, of Warren, and much of it efficiency was due to her untiring energy and zeal.

Funeral Saturday at one o'clock at the M, E. church conducted by her pastor the Rev. M. H. Mott, of which church she had been a member less that one year, having held a membership formerly for a number of years in the U. B. church. Her remains were interred in the Mitchell cemetery south of town.
