Former Resident of Gilboa Township Dies
Mrs. Ida (Irwin) Bartoo, 77, formerly of Gilboa township, died at 6:30 o'clock Monday morning in the Jasper county hospital, Rensselaer.
She was the widow of John B. Bartoo, former trustee of Gilboa township. The family home was two miles west of the consolidated school house where they resided for many years. Following Mr. Baroo's death, the widow moved to Remington where she lived at the time of death. Mrs. Bartoo was born in Fountain county. One brother, James Irwin of South Dakota, survives.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from the Remington Methodist church of which she was a member and interment was in the Remington cemetery.
