She married Elmer Halterman in 1923. He died in 1952.
She was a retired rural Jasper County school teacher, a member of the Christian Church, Order of the Eastern Star Order of Amaranth and the White Shrine.
Surviving are her son, Clarence; daughters, Mrs. Virgil (Martha) Purcell, Mrs. Eric (Marie) Haussermann, Mrs. Don (Gladys) Winterrowd; brothers Burl Ives and Clarence Ives; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
