Mary Jackson Bruce, 92, of Greenville, widow of Coy Thomas Bruce, passed away Friday, October 28, 2016, at Brookdale Assisted Living.
Born in Lavonia, GA, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Claire Bennet Jackson. Mrs. Bruce was a homemaker and was a member of Eastlan Baptist Church.
Surviving are one daughter, Cheryl Bruce Smart of Greenville; two sons, William Gerald and Mark Jackson Bruce, both of Greenville; grandchildren, Eric Smart and wife, Tara Anne, of Denver, CO, Andrew Smart and wife, Julie, of Greenville, Gerrad Bruce and wife, Karissa, of Anderson, and Cheryl Elizabeth Bruce of Raleigh, NC; and great-grandchildren, Drew Smart, Claire Smart, and William Bruce.
Mrs. Bruce was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Richard Smart.
Visitation will be held Monday, October 31, 2016 from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. A graveside service will follow, beginning at 2:00 p.m., in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Eastlan Baptist Church, 625 S. Pleasantburg Dr., Greenville, SC 29607.
