Elizabeth Jackson Esposito, age 90, formerly of Joliet, died Sunday, October 10, 2010.
She the daughter of Douglas and Ethil Gardner Jackson. She was a graduate of Joliet Township High School, Class of 1937 and Joliet Junior College, Class of 1939.
Elizabeth served in World War II with the Women's Army Corp.
She was also a member of the 'Y' Players. She was very active in the Daughters of the American Revolution for over 60 years.
Elizabeth served as the Behethland Butler Chapter Regent, the South Carolina State Society Regent and as the NSDAR Vice President General.
She was a devoted wife,mother and a great friend. She loved poetry, theatre and music. Most off all she loved to laugh. She will be greatly missed.
Surviving are two sons, Michael (Sue) Esposito and Robert Esposito; four daughters, Katherine Esposito, Jane (Bruce) Rowan, Mary Esposito, and Susanne (Gunter) Wiedemann; 18 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, JoAnn E. Rogers; a grandson, David Gretz, Jr. and son-in-law David Wells.
A funeral Mass was celebrated October 14, 2010 in Greenville, South Carolina.
