Mary Dolores (Jackson) Hickemboatom Hollandsworth

Mary Dolores (Jackson) Hickemboatom Hollandsworth, 94, of Parkersburg went to be with the Lord July 13, 2010, from St. Joseph's Hospital in Parkersburg.

She was born in Cisco, W.Va. March 4, 1916, a daughter of the late Cecil C. Jackson Sr. and Mary (Lowther) Jackson. She worked at O'Ames Shovel Plant in the early 1940s and was Assistant Manager at G. C. Murphy where she was known as "Hick". She retired from there with 27 years of service. She was a member of The Stephenson United Methodist Church where she was in The Ruth Circle.

She was an avid reader and quilter and member of the Stephenson United Methodist Church quilters. She was also the family historian that included the Jackson family history "She was the embodiment of the People that made this Country great".

She is survived by her three children, Oral Franklin Leep (Frank) and wife Joyce of Cottontown, Tenn., John Hugh Leep and wife Judith Anne of Vienna, W.Va., and Louverna Tomer of Torch, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Mark F. Leep and wife Marsha, Michael J Leep and wife Jackie, Lori Ann Foley and husband Tom, John H. Leep II and wife Becky, Jay R. Leep and wife Heidi, Jedd F. Leep and wife Tellie, Brent F. Powell and wife Angie, and Jason S. Powell; 16 great-grandchildren, Justin, Alie, Preston, Parker, and Clayton Leep, Laura, Matthew, and Bryan Foley, Stacy and Cody Brookover, Brittany, Stephanie, Sarah, and Kristin Leep, and Jeremy Powell, and Zach Hall; and great-great- grandson Levi Brookover.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Raymond S Hickemboatom and Earnest "June" Hollandsworth; two sisters, Dorothy Pratt and Ruth Davis; brother, Cecil C. Jackson Jr.; two grandaughters, Shawna Powell and Mindy Leep; great-grandson, Cole A. Leep, and son-in-law, Kenneth "Bus" Tomer.

Services will be Friday 11 a.m. at The Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg.
