Born in Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late James Gaines and Rosella Bolden Gaines. She was a member of New Forksville Baptist Church and was an employee with J.P. Stevens textile plant.
Survivors are her husband, Jerry Louis Jackson of the home; mother, Rosella Bolden Gaines of Greenville; sisters, Dianne Gaines and Hazel Gaines of Greenville; brothers, Willie, Billy, David (Vendor) and Ronnie Gaines, all of Greenville.
Funeral services were held March 13 at Watkins, Garrett and Woods Mortuary. Burial followed in New Forksville Baptist Church Cemetery.
