Evelyn Mae Jackson DeHaven, 83, of Parkersburg, passed away on Oct. 14, 2012, at the Camden Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus.

She was born in Jackson County, W.Va. on May 23, 1929, a daughter of the late Gay and Carrie Mae Dunberger Jackson. Evelyn owned and operated DeHaven Jewelry for 30 years. She was a member of Eastern Star, Lamba Chi Sorority and the Women's Club of Vienna. She enjoyed gardening and her flowers. Evelyn was Methodist by faith.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandra DeHaven Roberts; son, Joseph DeHaven; four grandchildren, Andrea Leigh McDonough and C. Edward, Amanda Kay Reeves and Jonathon and Jason and Joshua DeHaven; great-grandson, Blake Reeves; sister, Elizabeth Whited and Roger; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Joseph DeHaven; five brothers, Wilford (infant), Junior, Claire, Ronald and Donald Jackson; four sisters, Irene Tracewell, Madeline Buckley, Patricia Buffington and Rosalie Bayes.

A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with Pastor Dwayne Porter officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Memorials may be made in Evelyn's memory to the American Cancer Society.
