Benny H. Jackson, 76, passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2014.
A Celebration of his Life will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 9, 2014 in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Matthew Yarbrough and Dr. Nita Crump will officiate.
The family will greet friends from 6 until 8 PM Monday, December 8, 2014 at the funeral home and asks that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dixon United Methodist Church, 6637 Sandy Point Road, Lizella, Georgia 31052 or the Methodist Home for Children and Youth, 304 Pierce Avenue, Macon, Georgia 31204.
Mr. Jackson was born in Macon the son of the late Amanda and Crowell C. Jackson. He was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers. Mr. Jackson was retired from Robins Air Force Base after 35 years of service as a Systems Analyst. He was a member of Dixon United Methodist Church, and the Senior Sunday School Class. Mr. Jackson loved to hunt and fish, bowl, watched Western movies, and was an avid reader. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle.
Mr. Jackson is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sylvia Blair Jackson of Lizella; children, Yonna A. (Jim) Marchman of Blairsville, and Tonia J. (Donny) Guy of Macon; grandchildren, MacKenzie M. (Bradley) Nuckolls, and Bryant and Jackson Guy; twin-brother, Barney H. Jackson of Macon; numerous nieces and nephews.
