Betty Jo (Jackson) Aitken, 78, of Morgantown, passed away Monday, March 29, 2010, at her residence.Betty was born in Westover, on June 3, 1931, the daughter of the late Curtis G. and Kathryn E. Jackson. She was a member of Westover United Methodist Church. She is survived by her son, Thomas L. Aitken II of Martinsburg, a sister, Kay Howell and her husband Charles of Morgantown, her brothers, Donald Jackson and wife, Deloris of Fairmont, Gerald Jackson and wife, Joyce of Florida, and a sister-in-law, Jean Jackson of Morgantown.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas L. Aitken in June 2008, her siblings, Carolyn, William, Robert, Richard, E. Nelson, and Clifford. Friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown from 4-7pm on Thursday, April 2, and from 9:30-10:30am on Friday, April 3. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 10:30am with Rev. Craig Falkenstine officiating. Burial will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens in Westover.
