SHINNSTON — Bonnie “Nannu” Davis Ayres, 74, of Wallace passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2015, at the United Hospital Center.

She was born February 14, 1940, in Carolina, a daughter of the late Homer and Lillian Jefferson Jackson.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband F. Dale Ayres on October 4, 2011.

She is survived by her children, Criss Davis and wife Sarah of Viropa; Eric Davis and wife Joyce of Wallace; and Patricia Ashcraft and husband Ronald of Wallace; Debbie Ayres Davis and husband Charlie of Fairmont; Tammie Ayres McArthur and husband Kenneth of Stratton, CO; David Ayres and wife Elaine of Chesterfield, VA; grandchildren, Criss “Dink” Davis II, SSC, Melissa Peele, Shawn Davis, Justin Davis, Matthew Davis, Ashley Ashcraft, Amber Ashcraft, Angela Ashcraft and April Ashcraft, Heather Edgell Miller, Jamie Harki, Brittnie Wigham, Johnny Griffin, Kaitlin McArthur, Amanda Ayres; as well as 16 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Irene Pillo.

In addition to her parents and husband, Bonnie was preceded in death by her step-mother, Pearl Cramer Jackson; brother, Jim Jackson; and sisters, Mary Doshen and Ida Marsh.

Bonnie loved to spend time with her family, especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Christmas time was her favorite time of the year. She loved to prepare family meals. Bonnie also enjoyed gardening and canning.

Friends will be received at the Harmer Funeral Home, 300 Pike St. Shinnston on Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 14 at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor George Heitman officiating. Interment will follow at the Shinnston Masonic Cemetery.
