She was born March 17, 1925, in Follansbee, W.Va., a daughter of the late John J. and Sadie Frances Dillon Jackson. Florence was a volunteer for the American Red Cross.
She is survived by two sons, Arthur S., of West Union, W.Va., and Richard A., of Champion, Ohio; two daughters, Sandra K., of Hubbard, Ohio, and Anna L., of Mineral Ridge, Ohio; 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel A. Bailey, in 1987; and one son, Robert W. Bailey.
Services will be held Tuesday, Nov. 7, at 11 a.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys, W.Va., with Pastor Chuck Rogers officiating. Interment will be in the Bailey-Lamp Cemetery, Pleasants County, W.Va. Calling hours will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday and from 10-11 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
