September 27, 1895, at the house of her son, David J. Evans, Genesee, Wisconsin, Mrs. Catherine Evans, aged 79 years. She was the daughter of William and Catherine James, Pontrhydfendigaid, Ceredigion, South Wales. After being united in marriage to William Evans in the country of her birth, they came to this country in 1842 and attended the parish of Genesee, Waukesha County, when a religious school was established, and Mrs. Evans was a member of the church from this time until the day of her death.
