Frederick Jellicoe was the son of Capt. F.G. and Mrs. Jellicoe. He may have perished during the siege of Wheeler's entrenchment, in which case he would have been laid to rest in the Sepulchral Well, a water well that was located some 80 yards to the southwest of the Entrenchment. The remains of some 350 men, women and children still rest there.

The Sepulchral Well lies today within a military zone, some 30 yards from one of the old barrack buildings near Cambridge Road. It may be necessary to secure permission from the local military authority before visiting the site and memorial.
