HAMMOND, Mary - of Valleyview Home, St. Thomas, passed away on Saturday, December 19th, 2009, at her late residence, in her 88th year. Beloved wife of the late Sydney 'Ab" Hammond and dearly loved mother of Bruce Hammond (Ruth Ann), Scott Hammond (Anne) and Dean Hammond (Cleide). Predeceased by a brother. Sadly missed by 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Predeceased by a grandson Andrew Hammon. Mary was born in St. Thomas on December 5th, 2009, the daughter of the late Wilfred and Edna Jennings. She was a member of First United Church, Mary was a past president of the St. Thomas Golf and Country Club a former member of the St. Thomas Curling Club and of the I.O.D.E. A public memorial service to celebrate Mary's life will be held at WILLIAMS FUNERAL HOME, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. Visitation at the funeral home from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Cremation has taken place, with private interment of ashes in Bayview Cemetery, Long Point. Remembrances may be made to Valleyview Home, the Canadian Cancer Society or choice.
