Peacefully with her family by her side, at the Grey Bruce Health Services in Owen Sound, on Tuesday, May 18th, 2010. Shirley Irene Carmichael (nee Jenings), of R. R. # 3, Owen Sound, at the age of 80 years. Dearly beloved wife of Alfred Carmichael for 58 years. Loving mother of Donna Connell and her husband, Dennis, of Newmarket, Bruce Carmichael and his wife, Wendy, of Embro and Kathryn MacKinnon and her husband, Jim, of Komoka. Proud grandmother of Beverly, Stacey, Brigette, Benjamin, Brandon and Hayley. Dear sister of Dennis Jenings and his wife, Marg, of Kirkland Lake and sister-in-law of Jack Smith, of Owen Sound. Predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Bertha Jenings; her brother, Noble (Irene) Jenings; her sisters, Connie Smith, Ilean (Art) Clow and Laverna (Gord) Mitz. The family would like to thank Dr. Marsden and all the nurses on the 4th floor of the hospital for their excellent care. Friends may call at the BRIAN E.
