Dorothy moved to Suquamish, Washington, in 1942. She graduated from North Kitsap High School. She was a member of Silverdale Lutheran Church, where she volunteered in the office and was part of the quilting group. She was also a member of the Sons of Norway and Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by a brother, Donald Meltvedt of Renton; four sons, Kenneth, Keith and his wife, Kim, Ron and his wife, Teresa, and Rod and his wife, Becky. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Christina, Cody, Andrew, Brian, Daniel, Matthew, Amanda and Haley.
A memorial service will be held at Silverdale Lutheran Church at 3 p.m. today, November 25th, 2008. Arrangements entrusted to Lewis Funeral Chapel.
