Marjorie Bickford, 85, died May 22, 2009 at Vancouver, WA. She was born May 19, 1924 at Omaha, NE. She was a Battle Ground area resident for 63 years and worked for the Battle Ground School District.
A mother first and foremost, she was happiest
when surrounded by her children and grandchildren.
She was a member of Vista Community Church.
Marjorie is survived by sons, Ray Bickford of Battle Ground, WA and Frank (Judy) Bickford of Heisson, WA; daughters, Cheryl (Alvin) Harper of Long Beach, WA and Alice (Melvin) Berry of Ridgefield, WA; ten grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband of 38 years, Chesley "Spike" Bickford, in 1984.
Graveside services will be held on Sat., May 30, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Vancouver. Memorial services will be held on Sat., May 30, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. at Vista Community Church, Ridgefield. Viewing will be on Fri., May 29, 2009 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Layne's Funeral Home, Battle Ground.
Donations may be made to Vista Community Church Youth Fund.
