Mrs. Guy Balfour's Death Comes As Shock
Mrs. Mina B. Balfour, 35, wife of Guy Balfour, well known Chehalis businessman, died early yesterday morning at the family home on Ninth street, ptomaine poisoning being assigned as possible cause. Mrs. Balfour was ill less than twenty-four hours. She was well as usual early Wednesday morning, but was taken violently ill about ten o'clock as she was telephoning her sister.
Mrs. Balfour's death came as a great shock to the family and friends. She was born in Iowa, January 24, 1898, coming to this county with her parents in 1901, and living here ever since.
Besides the widower, she is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jens Jensen; two sons, Kenneth, 13, and Donald, 11; four brothers, J. M. Jensen and Wm. F. Jensen of Chehalis, Henry Jensen of Portland and Jacob Jensen of Tigard, Ore.; three sisters, Mrs. Scott Gray of Cowlitz prairie, Mrs. John Marth of Chehalis and Mrs. R. M. Martin of Onalaska.
The body was removed to Boone's Mortuary, where funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon. Burial will be at Claquato.
