Pete was living in Bell, TX when he entered the service and was a member of the 21st Infantry Regiment, 24th Infantry Division.

He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy near Chochiwon, South Korea on July 10, 1950 and was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Infantryman's Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.

A nephew of Sgt. Jimenes kindly pointed out that I had him placed in the wrong cemetery and also graciously gave the following information:

'He served in World War II in the European Theatre and was also carried as MIA for over a year, prior to him being declared dead.'
