Joe Handley, age 85, of Cordova, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, 20 May 2015, at the Walker Baptist Medical Center in Jasper, Alabama.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, 23 May 2015 at 2 pm at Collins-Burke Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 3:00 pm in the chapel with burial at Mt Joy Cemetary. Rev Doug Tate and Rev Andy Frasier will officiate.
Mr Handley was preceded in death his mother, Mandy Hambric; father, Joseph N Handley, Sr.; daughter, Judy; son, Steve; brothers, Archie, James, Ezra, Vic, Thomas, Harvey; sister, Martha Sheddy; grandchildren, Chuck Beckman, and John Christopher Handley.
He is survived by his wife, Edith Handley; daughters, Rozetta Brittain-Dissont (Daryl) and Mandy. Seals; son, Wes Handley (Marina); sisters, Mary Norton and Betty Sherer; 8 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or Alzheimer's Foundation.
