Albus, 71-year old longtime Mesquite, Texas citizen, died Friday, October 19, 2007 at her daughter's home in Brownsboro, Texas. He was born January 25, 1936 in Mexico, Missouri to John Edward Albus and Thelma Elizabeth Heinley Albus.
He graduated from Mexico Missouri High School and went on to be a long-distance truck driver for Sittion Motor Line, based in Missouri. Albus lived in Oklahoma for a time before making Mesquite, Texas his home in 1985. He was also a member of the Truck Drivers Teamster Union.
He married "Patricia" Jean Ruminer Albus and she survives him of the home. Other survivors include three sons, William "Bill" Albus of Tulsa, Joe Edward Albus, Jr. of Murphysboro, Tennessee and Earnest Harper of Mannford, Oklahoma; four daughters, "Phyllis" Kay Dodson of Brownsboro, Texas, Marie Frances of Sapulpa, Betty Hammons of Mannford, Oklahoma and JoVanna Hill of Houston, Texas; one sister, Margaret Porter of Tulsa; nineteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.
