''Maggie, eldest daughter of William P. and Emma Johnson, and grand-daughter of Rev. James Dubuar, died June 8, of turbercular meningitis, aged 5 years, 11 months and 8 days. The remains were interred in Oakwood cemetery. Before the funeral coretege had arrived, Miss Jennie Kator, Maggie's teacher, and all the members of her class came to the cemetery, and then in the presence of many ladies decorated her grave with flowers. It was a touching scene to see the little ones shed tears of sorrow for the departed class-mate they loved so dearly. By special request, John M. Swift, M.D., took charge of the funeral, which was largely attended by the most respectable people of the town. Mr. and Mrs. Johnson have the sympathy of the entire community in their very deep affliction, but Maggie has only gone before to welcome father and mother home.''
