Arbutus "Boots" M. Drum, 92, a resident of the Rouse Warren County Home died there at 12:18 p.m. Monday, November 23, 2009 after a brief illness. She was born April 17, 1917 in Youngsville, Pa. to the late Warren and Rosella Pratt Johnson.
She was a lifelong resident of the Warren Co. area and a graduate of Youngsville High School. Boots was a selfemployed seamstress for over 70 years. She was a member of the Pleasant Community Church and former member of the Baptist Women's Circle. She enjoyed traveling, knitting, shopping, baking and was an avid lover of dogs.
She is survived by her children: Debbie Speicher and husband, Greg of Amherst, N.Y.; Craig Kenneth Drum and wife, Rosemary, of Pompano Beach, Fla.; Dwight Drum of Brandon, Fla.; one sister: Joyce Kaelin of Colorado Springs, Colo.; one brother: Maynard Johnson of Pittsburgh, Pa.; one grandson: Danny Drum and wife, Yvonne of Warren, Pa., who was extremely attentive to all of Boots's life transitions. Eighteen grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, eight greatgreatgrandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Theodore Drum, whom she married July 1937 and who died in 1972; two daughters: Norma Larsen and Delores Minford; one son: Gordon Drum; one brother: Howard Johnson; and one sister: Winiferd Peterson.
