Anchorage resident ALICE SOPHIE JOHNSON, 90, died Feb. 17, 2002, at home. Visitation was held at Evergreen Memorial Chapel, downtown, with a service following. Burial was in the spring at Anchorage Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Johnson was born Sept. 16, 1911, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, and moved to Alaska in 1940. She lived in Cantwell for two years and also lived in Ruby, Summit and Fairbanks before moving to Anchorage. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by her son, James A. Johnson Sr. of Anchorage; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Burton C. Biss of Wasilla; sister, Anne Roberts of Spokane, Wash.; sister-in-law, Elvera Landskov of Enumclaw, Wash.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Arrangements were by Evergreen Memorial Chapel, downtown.
