Anchorage resident Adele R. Johnson, 80, died peacefully of natural causes Nov. 9, 2009, in Anchorage.
She was born Aug. 15, 1929, in Pennsylvania. Her family wrote: "We are glad to have had Mom Adele with us for so many good years. Adele is remembered with kindness and as a woman who enjoyed spending time with her family. A dedicated homemaker, she also worked for many years for the State of Alaska as a secretary. Adele grew up in Ohio but lived most of her life in Alaska. She attended Anchorage Community College after retiring from full-time work. Adele enjoyed cooking, baking, church services, and television shows, especially "Columbo" and "CSI: Miami."
She is survived by one brother, David of Virginia; two sisters, Betty of Virginia and Barbara of Ohio; her four children, Jayne Johnson, Karen Rogers, Jeff Johnson, and Timothy Johnson; six grandchildren, Brandy Davison, Jacob Johnson, Matthew Rogers, Sarah Rogers, Jerissa Johnson and Jerusha Johnson; and two great-grandchildren, Burgundy Davison and Jerri Davison. Her family wishes to thank MacInnes House Inc. assisted living home for the outstanding care she received during her time there. Adele is missed greatly, and she shall be remembered.
