WALLACE, Portia Griffin Age 68 of Gallatin. October 24, 2009. She is preceded in death by parents, Johnnie & Elizabeth Jones; late husband, James Herman Griffin; and sister, Barbara Jones. She is survived by her husband, Garwin "Puddy" Wallace; son, James "Jimbo" (Kim) Griffin; grandson, Wil Griffin; brother, Houston (Nancy) Jones; sister, Mary (Jackie) Jones; 3 step-children; 5 step-grandchildren; numerous extended family. Pallbearers, John Hughes, John Decker Jr., Jeff Decker, Brad Wallace, H.L. McDole, and Paul McKinney. Honorary Pallbearers, Adam Jones, Austin Hughes, Michael Hughes, Mike Hyams, James Garner, Jimmy Dickens and Ron McCleskey Visitation will be at Cole & Garrett, Hendersonville, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday October 26th, 2009. Service will take place at 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 27th, with visitation 2 hours prior to the service time; officiating, Dr. Larry Yarbrough. Entombment, Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
