Graveside services for George Marion Jones, 49, of 1180 Coleman Ave., who died Thursday will be held today at 1:30pm in Macon Memorial Park with the Rev. Ernest Pettis officiating.
Mr. Jones, a native and lifelong resident of Macon, was educated in the Bibb County public schools. He was an automobile salesman for the Coleys Auto Company, a veteran of World War II, and a member of the Baptist Church. Mr. Jones was the son of the late George M. Jones and the late Mrs. Willie Alvin Rhudy Jones.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Faydette Tyson Jones of Macon; three sons, Terry Lee Jones of Tampa, Fla., George M. Jones Jr. of Warner Robins, and Frank Jones of Macon; five sisters, Mrs. Lucian Beck, Mrs. Fletcher Gober, Mrs. J. C. Strong, Mrs. Lester Ferguson, and Mrs. Virginia Hall, all of Macon and one grandchild.
Memorial Chapel Funeral is in charge.
