Everett "Bitty" Jones was one of ten children born to Haskell Lee Jones and Edith Clara Dolen Jones. Nine of which grew to adulthood.

They were a poor, hard working family living in the small town of Tipton Oklahoma where the children attended school.

As a young man, Ev joined the army where he became an expert marksman. While in Fort Riley, Kansas he met Lois Ann Carlson. On November 22, 1962 they were married before being stationed at a military post, Schofield Barracks, in Hawaii.

Ev and Lois had two children. Both are living at the writing of this bio, so their names are not listed.

After returning from Hawaii, the couple lived in Kansas with Lois's family for a short period. Eventually, the couple divorced, but remained friendly. After the divorce Ev moved around quite often. It is believed he was a sniper for the Secret Service, but other than the word of his ex-wife (who doesn't lie) and another family member, documentation of this is yet to be discovered.

Shortly before his death, Ev married Della. This marriage made Ev a step-father. The couple settled in Tipton, Oklahoma.

Ev died when, while working on a car up on jacks, the car fell on him. While family was together in Oklahoma mourning his passing, his father, Haskell also passed away. Both are buried in the Tipton cemetery among other family members.
