Nina Jones Everett, age 86, of Marietta, Georgia, formerly of Blairsville, Georgia, passed away October 24, 2004 in Wellstar Community Hospital in Austell, Georgia.
Mrs. Everett was born in Union County, Georgia November 26, 1917, a daughter of the late Narve Jones and Fannie Potts Jones. She lived in Blairsville for most of her life, and moved to Marietta eight years ago. Mrs. Everett was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Blairsville and was the widow of the late Hershel Everett.
She was preceded in death by sister Netta Mae Totherow and brothers Cecil Jones, I.V. Jones, and N.J. Jones. Survivors of Mrs. Everett include daughters Helen Smith of Burlington, North Carolina; Shirley Stockton of Marietta, Georgia; Doris Kidd of Smyrna, Georgia; and Becky McClain of Powder Springs, Georgia; sons Donald Everett and Arlen Everett, both of Marietta, Georgia; Terry Everett of Kennesaw, Georgia; Jerry Everett of Hiawassee, Georgia; sister Kathleen Brackett of Marietta, Georgia; and brother Grady Jones of Blairsville; nineteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, five great, great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral services were held in the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home in Blairsville with Rev. Tommy Jones officiating. Special music was presented by New Life Signers. The following gentlemen served as pallbearers: Terry Everett, Adam Everett, Darryl Everett, Mike Allred, Mark Allred, B.J. Kidd, and Rob Stockton. Burial was in Kennesaw Memorial in Marietta.
