Shirley Rae Hartley, 76, of Rossville went home to be with the Lord Sunday, August 9, 2015.

She had been a resident of the Chattanooga and North Georgia area for the 45 years. Shirley was a member of Fairview Baptist Church where she was a member of the Vota Vita Sunday School class. She was the Dean of Women at Tennessee Temple University until May 1985. Shirley was retired from Bi-Lo.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Marshall and Dollie Jones; and her loving husband of 46 years, Rev. Gary Lee Hartley.

Survivors include her sons, Gary Michael (Pamela) Hartley, and John Marshall Hartley; daughters, Gina Lynn Hartley and Gretchen Denise (Stephen) Shugar; sister, Louise Morrison; grandchildren, David Michael( Alisha) Hartley, Stephen Andrew Hartley, Patrick Shaun Hartley, and Brittannie Breanne Smith; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 3 PM Wednesday at the funeral home chapel with Pastor Jim Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.
