Dorothy "Dot" Marie Knight Jones, age 85 of Chickamauga, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, December 25, 2013. She was a lifelong resident of Chickamauga and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Dot was also a member of Homemakers of Chickamauga and enjoyed spending time laughing with her family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister who will be missed daily. Dot was preceded in death by her parents, Luther Elijah and Bertie Mae Crowe Knight; son, Roger "Dale" Jones; sisters, Frances Blaylock, Lucille Youngblood and Ruth Gill; and brother, Frank Knight. She is survived by her husband, of 67 yrs., Paul Jones; daughter, Kathy Jones Biddle of Chickamauga; sisters, Linda and Diane Knight of Chattanooga and Barbara Chastain of Rossville; daughter-in-law, Jean Jones of Chickamauga; grandchildren, Kari Crawford, Chad Crawford, Roger Jones and Tammy (Bobby) Landers; great grandchildren, Dusty Haney and Heather Haney; great-great grandchild, Madeline; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 28, 2013 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Charles McElhaney officiating. Interment will follow in the Chickamauga City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am on Saturday until the funeral service. Arrangements by Wilson Funeral Home, J. Avery Bryan Chapel.
