Eatonton , Georgia - Vivian Jones Entrekin, 83, passed away on Thursday, May 23, at Pine Pointe Hospice from pancreatic cancer. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 29 at 2 p.m. at Snow's Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono followed by burial at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Dr. Jay Hodges will officiate. Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 28 from 6-8 p.m. at Snow's Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono. The family requests that donations be made to Al Sihah Shrine Temple Transportation Fund, 222 Mecca Drive, Macon, 31206 or Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Rd, Macon 31210.
Mrs. Entrekin was born in Dodge County, Georgia, the daughter of Ruby Mae Locke Jones and F. B. Jones. She was preceded in death by her son, Mark Howard Entrekin and brothers, Malloy, Edward and Keith Jones. Mrs. Entrekin was a graduate of Miller High School for Girls. She sold furniture for 22 years at Maxwell Brothers and Farmer's Furniture. Mrs. Entrekin was a member of the Sassy Ladies of Lake Sinclair Chapter of the Red Hat Society, and a lifetime member of the Daughters of the Nile and currently belongs to El Tehran Temple #122 in Atlanta, Georgia. She also was sewing chairman of Ha Hisla Roses Nile Club and a member of Aid Corp for multiple Potentates at Al Sihah Temple. Mrs. Entrekin was a former member of Bethesda Baptist Church.
During her lifetime, she was dedicated to helping others by volunteering at elementary school and serving in the PTO when her children were young. Mrs. Entrekin was Head of Beginners Department at Bethesda Baptist Church, March of Dimes Chairman for her community, and spent many years volunteering for the Shriner's various fund raising events to benefit their multiple children's hospitals across the country. After retiring she spent many hours making stuffed animals and dolls, blankets, pillows, aprons, candy dishes, etc. for the children in the Shriner's Hospital so they would have something that was comforting while hospitalized.
Mrs. Entrekin was an excellent seamstress making clothes, drapes, bedspreads, pillows, cushions, purses, Masonic aprons, etc. She had the talent to knit, crochet, quilt, garden, do a variety of crafts, and refinish furniture.

Mrs. Entrekin was an excellent seamstress making clothes, drapes, bedspreads, pillows, cushions, purses, Masonic aprons, etc. She had the talent to knit, crochet, quilt, garden, do a variety of crafts, and refinish furniture.
