Thelma Grace Jordan, 69 of Meridian, beloved wife, mother and grandmother has gone home to Heaven, having passed away at her home on Saturday, Oct. 1, 2005, following a brief struggle with pancreatic cancer.
Thelma was an inspired seamstress and spent many hours sewing and making her beautiful rag dolls. She enjoyed reading and scrap booking. She loved her God, her family, cats, dogs and goats and had a special place in her heart for naughty little boys.
She was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church in Meridian.
She will be deeply missed by her husband, Ron; her mother, Maude Cavanah; brother, Leslie Cavanah; sister, Barbara Butterfield; eight children; 16 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren;; and her large extended family. All who knew her will miss the soul deep kindness and compassion that she exhibited in her personal life and in her career in nursing, most recently at Sun Bridge Care and Rehab in Meridian.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to either the American Lung Association of Idaho or to the Ronald McDonald House, Boise, ID.
Friends may call at the Alsip & Persons Funeral Chapel, Nampa, Wednesday. The family will greet loved ones and friends at the funeral chapel on Wednesday evening. A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held Thursday, Oct 6, at the Christ Lutheran Church, Meridian. A private internment will be at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery.
