Ralph Charles Jordan, 86, of Nampa, died Aug. 24, 2008 at home. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 29, 2008 at the Lutheran Brethren Church of Nampa , 730 W. Roosevelt, Nampa, followed by graveside inurnment service at Cloverdale Memorial Park, Boise. Services are under the direction of Cloverdale Funeral Home. Ralph was born in Greenwood, S.D. on July 9, 1922. He moved from South Dakota to Meridian, Idaho in 1936 with his family. Ralph married his wife of 49 years, Sylvia, on Nov. 29, 1959. They had two sons, Marion Charles Jordan and Mitchell Lynn Jordan. Ralph worked and was part owner of C&J Milk Transport from 1942 until his retirement in 1990. Ralph later worked as a custodian for the Nampa School District; which he thoroughly enjoyed because he was able to be with the children. Ralph enjoyed visiting with his family, playing bingo, attending church, and watching his wrestling and other sports. Ralph loved to sit for hours drinking his coffee, talking about life, and watching the variety of birds eat out of his bird feeder. Ralph welcomed anyone to join him. Ralph loved his three grandchildren; Justin and David Jordan and Steve James. Ralph was loved by all who knew him and will forever be with us. The family would like to thank Clearwater House Assisted Living for the compassionate care they provided. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Marion Charles and Alice Jordan; sisters, Darlene and Doris Jordan and brothers, Jerry and Lewis Jordan. Ralph is survived by his wife, Sylvia; his sons, Marion (Melanie) Jordan and Mitchell (Ruth Anne) Jordan of Meridian; daughter-in-law, Renae Jordan of Boise; grandchildren, Justin (Natalie) Jordan, David Jordan and Steve James; sisters, Mildred Meek, Dena Bay, Alice Ownbey, Charlotte Frazier, Sharon Barnet and Judy Raphael and brother, Kenneth Jordan.
