Alpheus "Alf" Eugene Jordan was one of the last children, and one of twin brothers, born to Josephine Higbee and John P. Jordan in Perry, Indiana. On October 15, 1902, he married Miss Ada Havard in Gulfport, Harrison County, Mississippi and together they had three children:
