Ernest L. Joyner, Jr., 67, "Bones", of the 6500 block of Whitehorn Dr. passed away Oct. 12, 2012 at his residence. He was born Feb 25, 1945 in Norfolk, VA to the late Inez Sessoms Joyner and Earnest L. Joyner, Sr.
Ernest was a 1963 graduate of Booker T. Washington High School and a veteran of the US Air Force. He attended C.H. Mason Memorial COGIC, Norfolk. He worked in civil service as a pipefitter.
He is survived by two daughters, Deria England and Robin Joyner; one son, Ernest L. Joyner III; one sister, Roberta Cooper; two brothers, Carlton E. Joyner, Sr. and Dennis S. Joyner (Doreatha); five grandchildren, Marquis L. Joyner, Asia K. England, Jaylen L. Joyner, Jermaine A.D. Joyner and Jamari A.E. Joyner; niece, Yolanda Brown; great niece, Monae Burnes; three nephews, Carlton L. Joyner Jr., Monroe Burnes and Michael Burnes; cousin, Mattie Wilkins; special friend/caretaker, LuWanda Williams; and a host of other relatives and friends.
