SUFFOLK, Va. - Anne Joyner Jordan, 75, died April 15, 2006, at her home.

Born April 20, 1930, in Nansemond County, Va., she was the daughter of the late Martha Lassiter and Malbon Etheridge Joyner.

Mrs. Jordan was a graduate of Longwood College and served as a schoolteacher for 23 years in the Nansemond County and Suffolk Public Schools.

She was a member of the Oakland United Church of Christ, the Loyal Fellowship Sunday School Class and the Circle 2 of the Church. Mrs. Jordan was also a member of the Retired Suffolk Teacher Association.

Survivors include her husband C. Frank Jordan; daughter, Suzanne J. Langston and husband J. Darden Langston, Jr. of Suffolk; son, C. F. Jordan and wife Linnie of Roanoke Rapids; five grandchildren, Laura Anne Jordan, Nancy Cate Jordan, Lee Tyler Langston, Breanne Joyner Langston, Jenna Elizabeth Langston; nieces and nephews, Keith Jordan, Zola Kay Gudger, William “Chip” Joyner, Sandra Babb, Tammy Crigger, Ginny Lee Leitner; many great nieces and nephews; adopted children, Eppie Amoroso, Lynn Moon, John Cross, Ruedi Eppler; adopted grandchildren, Jan Jan Camaya, Junior Camaya, Erin Babler, Cole Griffies; and traveling friends John and Lorraine Gayle, Nick and Margaret Sarick.

A funeral service was held at 2 p.m., Wednesday April 19, at the Oakland United Church of Christ by the Rev. Mark Burns with a private burial in the church cemetery.
