Martha Junaluska Taylor, 98, of the Birdtown Community went home to be with the Lord Thursday, October 23, 2014 in a Cherokee Healthcare facility. A native of Cherokee, she was the daughter of the late James and Emaline Blyth Junaluska, and wife of the late Dave Taylor. Preceded in death by two brothers, Mark and Arch Junaluska and two sisters, Sallie Locust and Winnie Cole.
She is survived by four children; Betsy Taylor, Sam Taylor, Jonah Taylor and wife Jody, and Truman Taylor and wife Bea all of Cherokee; eight grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 30 great great grandchildren; one sister Lilian Thompson of Cherokee.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Sunday at Bethabara Baptist Church. Rev. Eddie Sherrill and James (Bo) Parris will officiate with burial in the Birdtown Cemetery.
