Loretta "Jean" K. Alfieri, age 79 of West Henrietta, died Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at Highland Hospital after a brief illness. Jean was born August 29, 1933 in Buffalo, NY the daughter of the late John and Irene Flagg Kane. Jean worked at Hurlbut Nursing Home for over 30 years as a Registered Nurse. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church in Rush and was an avid sports fan, especially her hometown favorites, the Bills and Sabres.
Jean is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 57 years, John Alfieri; her daughters, Katherine and Gregory Orenic of Florida and Margaret and Dr. Russell Ball of North Carolina; her grandchildren, John Ball and Katie Ball. Also several nieces and nephews.
At the families request, there will be no prior visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Mass, Monday May 20, 2013 at 12 noon in Saint Marianne Cope Parish @ St. Josephs Church, 6105 Rush-Lima Road, Rush, NY. Burial Maplewood Cemetery, Henrietta, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the St. Josephs Neighborhood Center, 417 South Avenue, Rochester, NY 14620
