STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Lifelong Staten Islander, Alice Kane Boudreau, 85, of Port Richmond, a retired secretary, died Saturday in the Silver Lake Specialized Care Center, Brighton Heights, where she had been a resident for a year.

She grew up Alice Kane in Stapleton and graduated from St. Peter’s Girls High School, New Brighton.

Mrs. Boudreau moved to Dongan Hills in the 1950s and settled in Port Richmond in the 1990s.

For more than two decades, she worked as a secretary for Merrill Lynch in Manhattan. She retired when she was in her 60s.

“She was very outgoing,” said her daughter, Leslie Thompson.

Mrs. Boudreau relaxed by watching old movies. More than anything, she was devoted to family and her grandchildren, said her daughter.

While living in Dongan Hills, Mrs. Boudreau was a parishioner of St. Ann’s R.C. Church. In Port Richmond, she was a parishioner of St. Roch’s R.C. Church.

In addition to her daughter, Leslie, also surviving are her sons, William and Kevin Boudreau, and two grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements, including a private memorial service and cremation, were handled by the Casey Funeral Home, Castleton Corners.
