Connie Kaye Auerbach, 87, of Marco Island FL and Longmeadow, MA, lived until November 14, 2006. She was born land raised in New York City daughter of Marcus and Bessie Kaye. A graduate of the Alvini School of Dramatic Arts and New York University, she pursued a brief career in the theatre as a dancer.

While living in Springfield, MA Connie was a charter member of the Jewish Community Center and co-founder of its Leisure Lounge and Friendly Circle, forerunners of the senior programs there today. She was an ardent worker for the newly established preschool and day camp committees. She also volunteered with Rachel's Table, ABC Longmeadow with AFS as a host-mother and with an interfaith adoption group. She was a member of Hadassah, ORT, and the National Council of Jewish Women.
She will be remembered for her love of gardening, her ready role as organizer, being "little mother" for theatre and tennis parties and bringing together strangers in the community.
