Jutta E. B. Bosler, age 89, of Dover, and formerly of Carrollton, died Saturday, March 7, 2015, in the New Dawn Retirement Community.

Born July 10, 1925, in Bremen, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Friedrich and Anna (nee Bauman) Keese. Jutta graduated from high school in Germany, attended business school, and went on to work at the Bremen Army Airfield where she met her future husband, Josiah "Joe" Bosler. The couple were married on January 14, 1949, and moved to the United States, settling in Carrollton, where Jutta was employed as a secretary by the Carrollton Manufacturing Company, and later, as a bookkeeper for Leonard Hudson. She and Joe moved to Dover in 1990.

Jutta was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Dover. She enjoyed gardening and had an extraordinary green thumb. She was fond of animals as well, especially cats and birds.

Survivors include her daughter, Barbara (Steven) Murphy of Dover; her grandchildren, Stephanie Murphy, Stacy (Michael) Gordon, and Greg Murphy; her great-grandchildren, Erick, Elissa and Avery; her brother-in-law, Glenn Bosler of Dover; and her nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Jutta was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joe, on November 22, 1999; and her brother, Friedrich Keese.

Family and friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Wednesday, March 11, 6 – 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held Thursday, March 12, at 1:30 p.m., in the funeral home, with Dr. William C. Haggis, Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Dover Burial Park.
