A graduate of Keeseville High School, she received degrees at Plattsburgh Normal School in 1919 and 1921. She taught at Keene Valley and Ilion and for some time at Keeseville Central School retiring recently but still contributing to education as a substitute teacher.
For many years she was a devout member of Harkness Methodist Church, where she served as treasurer for a long period of time and took an active interest in Woman's Society of Christian Service. She was member of Prospect Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, of Keeseville whose members gathered Sunday evening to perform their ritual.
Burial took place at Evergreen Cemetery, Keeseville, New York on 5 July 1965./jdb2018
