Ms. Mary Ruth Banks, age 87, of Dalton passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2015.
Ms. Banks was preceded in death by her parents, William David Kelley and Clara Roseanne Gravley Kelley; husband, Johnnie Poteet; sister, Bonnie O’Berry; brother, Rembert Kelley; and daughter-in-law, Jeanette Poteet.
Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law, Johnny “Benny” Poteet of Dalton, Earl & Katherine Poteet of Chatsworth, and Clyde Poteet of Dalton; daughters and son-in-law, Evelyn & Wayne Springfield of Tennga, Frances Carroll of Ogden, UT, and Betty Mullins of Dalton; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Ms. Banks will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 5, 2015 from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with the Rev. Harold Poteet officiating. Interment will follow in the New-Hope Kilgore Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5:00 until 9:00 pm.
