Born in Westford, she was the daughter of the late William and Sarah (Smith) Kelly.
She lived in New Bedford for many years before moving to Wareham where she was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church. For four years she was a resident of Sunrise Assisted Living Community of Dartmouth where her caregivers were so kind. She was at the Taber Street Nursing Home for a short time and received excellent care by a loving staff.
Frances worked as a bookkeeper at the Acushnet Process Company for 38 years, retiring in 1979. She was a loving daughter, for many years caring for her aging parents, a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her greatest joy was being with her family. In her later years, the births of her five great-grandchildren brought her much happiness.
She leaves a daughter, Anne Chase, and her husband John, of Mattapoisett; a grandson, John Chase, and his wife Susan, of Medway; a granddaughter, Kelly Cox, and her husband Michael, of Lakeville; and five great-grandchildren, Michael and Jacqueline Chase, and Kaitlyn, Andrew and Alison Cox.
She was the sister of the late William Kelly and Margaret Lacovara.
Funeral from the the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home For Funerals, 50 County Rd., (Rt. 6) Mattapoisett Friday, February 23rd at 9 AM. Funeral Mass at St. Anthony's Church, Mattapoisett at 10 AM. Burial will follow in St. Anthony's Cemetery.
