Born Dec. 22, 1944, in Slippery Rock, she was the daughter of the late Ronald Sr. and Alda Kelly.
Carol Ann was a loving and devoted mother and housewife. Her greatest achievement was raising her two boys and being a mother to many more.
She enjoyed mowing grass, planting flowers, swimming and boating.
She also enjoyed deer hunting with the boys.
Surviving are her husband, Perry Altmire Sr. of Eau Claire, who she married Oct. 9, 1965; her sons, Perry (Sharon) Altmire Jr., and Travis S. Altmire; her step-granddaughter, Chastity Wissinger, and her two greatstep-grandsons, who called her "GG," Owen and Cameron Burkett. Also surviving are six siblings, and her brothers- and sisters-in-law on both sides.
She was proceeded in death by two brothers.
Altmire- Friends of Carol Altmire of Eau Claire, who passed away Thursday, March 27, 2014, may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home, 201 S. Washington St., Eau Claire.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home.
Burial will follow in Eau Claire Cemetery.
