DOVER Kathryn M. Antes passed away Thursday, December 20, 2007, at her residence. She was the loving wife of Earl F. ''Bud'' Antes, who passed away August 5, 1985, after 48 years of marriage. Kathryn was born June 23, 1916, the daughter of Thomas P. and Fidella (McMullen) Kelly. Kathryn graduated from Altoona High School in 1934 and Altoona School of Commerce in 1936. She worked at York Hospital in the Accounting Department for six years and retired from New York Wire in 1979 after 22 years as a secretary in the Purchasing Department. Kathryn was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. She was also a member of Golden Nuggets, Rose Sunshine, and Dover and West York AARP. She was an avid card player and belonged to several card clubs. She is survived by a daughter, Marilyn Schenkel and her husband, Alfred J. Schenkel, Jr. of York; four grandchildren, Kelly A. Bortner and her husband, Michael, and Kyle A. Becker and his wife, Shay, both of York, and Karen A. Ludzieski and Kevin B. Cabot, both of Port Orange, Fla.; and six greatgrandchildren, Kyle N. Chapman, Chase M. Bortner, Allie K. Becker, Grant A. Becker, Zachery Ludzieski, and Devin Ludzieski. She was predeceased in death by a daughter, Carole J. (Antes) Cabot; a brother, Donald P. Kelly of Altoona; and her companion of eight years, Martin Weaver of Dover. A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, December 23, 2007, at the John W. Keffer Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2114 W. Market St., York. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Rose of Lima Church, 950 W. Market St., York, with the Rev. Thomas Hoke officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
