Philancy was the daughter of Benjamin and Rachel (Perrine) Kelly. She resided in Tompkins County, NY, where she was married about 1824 to Gilbert V. Ammerman. Known children were: Levi Brunson, Benjamin, Joel, Albert, Andrew, Gertrude Helen, and Rachel Ann.
