Joan L. (Kerrigan) Hatfield, of Quincy, recently passed on Feb. 3, 2014. The beloved wife of John R. Hatfield Sr. celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary on Jan. 23, 2014, attended by the entire clan and many close friends. Devoted mother of Carol Hatfield of Quincy, John R. Hatfield Jr. and his wife Tracy of Whitman, Maureen Aronson and her husband Jeffrey of Quincy, Michael Hatfield and his fiance Marie Daniel of Quincy, Sandra Dickey and her husband Paul of Wakefield, Neil Hatfield and his wife Kelly of Quincy and Kerri Benson and her husband David of Belmont. She was the loving sister of William Kerrigan of Quincy. She was the loving grandmother of seventeen grandchildren, being the official cheerleader for their participation in activities such as the rigors of football to the graceful artistry of dance. Joan enjoyed the many family gatherings and frequent trips to the beach. She also enjoyed bowling, bingo following New England sports teams, playing cards and board games with her family. She will be remembered as a loving and supportive mother, grandmother and sister who was always there for her family, she was devoted to them all. They have wonderful memories of a devoted woman who lead by example. Joans support and loyalty to her family and the boundless love she shared will be deeply missed by everyone. She will be forever in their hearts. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 3 - 7 p.m. in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., Quincy. A celebration of life service will be held in the funeral home Saturday at 9:30 a.m. prior to the Funeral Mass in Saint Agatha's Church, Milton, at 10:30 a.m. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
